The product of 2 gigging musicians, I was always around music from a very young age. My Mum is a professional singer and my Dad a professional guitarist, I remember being as young as 4, stealing his guitar and using it to write songs. The first time I got on stage was at age 6, wearing a little Santa hat, singing the backing vocals to Shakin' Stevens' "Merry Christmas Everyone". As I progressed at school, everyone else was listening to the Spice Girls and Boyzone, I was listening to Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton and Pink Floyd. I took music as an option at school, and after the teacher went around the room asking what instruments everyone played, I found myself to be the only singer. So I decided to learn how to play the guitar and taught myself with a little help from Dad.
